M-120 - 78" x 14" x 7"
A popular term recently is ombre, which can also be applied to wood with merging and gradient colors. Throughout the length of this ombre wood piece, a gradual change in redwood colors is shown. This naturally forming gradient is what we refer to with the term – “ombre wood.” The shape and live edge on this piece attribute to its country, rustic style. Doubling up as a shelf and wall art, this sample of redwood furniture is a versatile and particular choice. Natural discoloration like this is usually a result of mineral concentration in wood. Mineral streak in redwood burl comes from underwater exposure. Therefore, when visible, a mineral streak reveals a little history of the specific redwood piece. Important to note here is that the water exposure and mineral streaks in wood in no way impact the integrity and quality of the wood piece. We only update our inventory with redwood that is structurally sound and reliable.
