This distinctive live edge redwood burl slab measures approximately 34 inches by 7 inches and 2 inches thick. This piece features an elongated, organic silhouette with irregular live edges, natural voids, and rugged contours that give it a free-form, sculptural presence.
The surface displays rich reddish-brown heartwood with swirling burl figure, curly grain patterns, and warm color variations from deeper crimson tones to brighter amber highlights. Textured edges and darker inclusions add further character and depth. Shown lightly misted with water in the photos to highlight its saturated color and potential chatoyancy, the slab is currently raw and unfinished—ready for sanding, oiling, sealing, or epoxy work.
Ideal for:
Narrow live-edge console, sofa table, or entryway table top (pair with metal brackets, hairpin legs, or custom supports)
Statement wall art, headboard, or decorative panel
Floating shelf or sculptural accent piece
Custom woodworking projects that celebrate natural imperfections and forest character
Its long, slender form makes it especially well-suited for linear furniture pieces or vertical displays while delivering strong visual interest through its irregular outline and figured grain. Dimensions are approximate based on the face markings—confirm exact thickness and any additional details as needed. Ethically sourced and ready for your creative finish.
