This distinctive live edge redwood burl slab measures 24 inches by 24 inches and 2.5 inches thick. It features a highly organic, sculptural silhouette with bold live edges, natural voids, a circular opening near the top, and irregular protrusions that give it a dynamic, almost abstract form.
The surface shows rich reddish-brown heartwood with swirling burl figure, curly grain patterns, and warm color variations from deeper crimson tones to brighter amber highlights. Textured edges, darker inclusions, and the natural hole add character and depth. Shown lightly misted with water in the photos to highlight its saturated color and potential chatoyancy, the slab is currently raw and unfinished—ready for sanding, oiling, sealing, or epoxy work.
Ideal for:
Unique live-edge side table, accent table, or coffee table top (pair with metal legs, a pedestal, or custom base; the void and hole can be left open or filled with resin)
Statement wall art, headboard, or decorative panel
Floating shelf or sculptural display piece
Custom woodworking projects that embrace natural imperfections and forest character
Its compact, square-ish overall size and striking irregular outline make it especially well-suited for smaller statement pieces that deliver strong visual impact. Dimensions are approximate based on the face markings—confirm exact thickness and any additional details as needed. Ethically sourced and ready for your creative finish.
