This dramatic live edge redwood burl slab measures approximately 35 inches by 33 inches and 2.25″ thick. It is especially well suited for wall art. Its free-form, nearly crescent-like silhouette features rugged live edges, natural voids, and bold protrusions that create a strong sculptural presence when mounted vertically or horizontally.
The surface displays rich reddish-brown heartwood with flowing burl figure, tight curls, and warm color transitions that shift between deeper crimson tones and brighter amber highlights. Textured edges, darker inclusions, and the large natural opening add depth and organic character that read especially well as abstract wall decor. Lightly misted in the photos to bring out its saturated color and subtle chatoyancy, the slab remains raw and unfinished—ready for sanding, oiling, sealing, or a clear finish that preserves its natural drama.
Ideal as:
Large-scale abstract wall art or statement panel for living rooms, entryways, or offices
Unique headboard or vertical accent piece
Sculptural hanging element that brings the texture and warmth of redwood into interior spaces
Its irregular outline and strong visual movement make it a natural focal point when hung, celebrating the raw beauty and imperfections of the wood. Dimensions are approximate based on the face markings—confirm exact thickness and any additional details as needed. Ethically sourced and ready for your creative finish.
