This dramatic live edge redwood burl slab measures 34 inches by 10 inches and 3 inches thick. It features a highly irregular, organic silhouette with rugged live edges, deep natural voids, bark inclusions, and a substantial sculptural section that adds bold three-dimensional character.
The surface displays rich reddish-brown heartwood with swirling burl figure, curly grain, and warm color variations from deep crimson to brighter amber tones. Darker inclusions, textured edges, and prominent openings enhance its raw, untamed appeal. Shown lightly misted with water in the photos to reveal its saturated color and potential chatoyancy, the slab is currently raw and unfinished—ready for sanding, oiling, sealing, or epoxy work.
Ideal for:
Narrow live-edge console, sofa table, or entryway table top (pair with metal brackets, hairpin legs, or custom supports; voids can remain open or be filled with resin)
Statement wall art, headboard, or large decorative panel
Floating shelf or sculptural accent piece
Custom woodworking projects that celebrate natural imperfections and forest character
Its elongated yet highly contoured form delivers strong visual impact while remaining versatile for a range of furniture and decor applications. Dimensions are approximate based on the face markings—confirm exact thickness and any additional details as needed. Ethically sourced and ready for your creative finish.
